Melanie Brinckerhoff, PMHNP

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Melanie began her nurse practitioner career as a medical practitioner doing lifespan primary care for families. Her undergraduate work is from Whitworth University in Biochemistry and Sociology and then receiving her masters degree in nursing from Seattle University. With over fifteen years of primary care, Melanie saw consistent need for mental health care in her medical practice patients. More importantly the time she spent with patients exposed Melanie's curiosity and passion in the field of psychiatry.

Melanie returned to get a poster-masters in psychiatric mental health from the University of Cincinnati. She joined Bridges in 2023 to pursue a private practice in both Washington and Alaska. Her strong medical background has added to her holistic approach to mental health care. Aside from the diagnosis and treatment of depression, anxiety, bi-polar, and ADHD, Melanie has comfort in balancing general medicine and psychiatry.
