Kris Craig, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

Kris received his Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Alaska Pacific University and has spent 13 years in the field of counseling in a variety of settings, including outpatient psychotherapy, college student wellness, juvenile corrections, adolescent residential treatment, and adult community mental health. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Alaska Pacific University.

One of Kris' primary specialties is working with teenagers and their families as they face the unique challenges and issues that arise during adolescence and young adulthood.

He also provides individual psychotherapy to adults of all ages struggling with depression, anxiety disorders, adjustment difficulties, relationship problems, and significant life changes. Kris also works with candidates for bariatric surgery and others struggling with weight loss and nutrition on the psychological components of eating, exercise, and related behavioral change.

He believes in empowering individuals to meet their own personal needs while recognizing and changing unproductive thought and behavior patterns. Kris seeks to help individuals identify – and work at living within – their own value system outside of normal societal pressures.

As a participant and consumer of sports, Kris additionally is interested in helping athletes decrease anxiety related to performance and maximize their talents, both in individual and team sports settings. He is an avid runner in his free time.
