Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. John Craig Williamson is a licensed Alaska psychologist with nearly three decades of experience helping individuals, families, and communities navigate some of life’s most difficult challenges. His work has included private counseling, community mental health leadership, crisis response, suicide assessment and prevention, trauma care, grief education, and behavioral health services for underserved and remote Alaska communities. He has served in settings ranging from private practice and community mental health agencies to maximum-security correctional facilities, bringing steadiness, clinical depth, and compassion to people facing complex emotional and psychological concerns.

Throughout his career, Dr. Williamson has been especially committed to serving Alaskans with serious mental illness, trauma histories, grief, and crisis-related needs. He has provided culturally responsive care in rural communities such as Fort Yukon, collaborated with community leaders, supervised clinical programs, and helped strengthen behavioral health services across Alaska. Warm, practical, and deeply experienced, Dr. Williamson approaches his work with respect for each person’s story and a strong commitment to helping clients find stability, resilience, and meaningful change.
