Bahiyyih Young, LPC
Bahiyyih Young, Ed. S., LPC graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BA in Psychology in 2004 and with an Ed.S. in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling in 2013.
Before making the move here to Alaska from South Carolina, she worked with teens in a group foster home setting, as a therapist, advocate, and educator in a rape crisis center, and as a school mental health therapist working with students and families in a high school setting.
Bahiyyih enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families to address issues related to communication, trauma, transitions, and relationships.
She appreciates Anchorage’s rich diversity. She believes that struggle builds strength and that strong individuals and families create a stronger, healthier community.
